Discover three places to stay that offer more than a place to sleep: they deliver a K-service experience.

The Shilla Seoul

The Shilla Seoul is one of Korea’s leading luxury hotels, long favored by prominent visitors from home and abroad, as well as business travelers. Located near Namsan, it is known for its calm, welcoming atmosphere and high standard of service.

Its service and gardens, infused with a distinctly Korean sensibility, leave a lasting impression on international visitors and offer a place to unwind amid a busy schedule. When visiting Korea, it is certainly worth experiencing K-pop and K-food, but we also recommend experiencing the country’s service, which is highly regarded around the world. The Shilla is one of the best places to experience this Korean culture of hospitality and service.

Good to know

If you visit The Shilla Seoul, we recommend stopping by Pastry Boutique. One of the hotel’s in-house bakery spaces, it is beloved for its cakes, pastries and seasonal desserts. It is so popular that even Seoul residents who enjoy hotel bakeries make a special trip to visit.

Grand Hyatt Seoul

Located on the slopes of Namsan, Grand Hyatt Seoul is a hotel where guests can experience both the urban landscape and nature. It is conveniently situated for getting to Hannam-dong, Itaewon and Gangnam, and is distinctive for its blend of the city’s energy and Namsan’s relaxed atmosphere.

It is one of the hotels regularly visited by collectors and business travelers from Korea and abroad. Major galleries in Hannam-dong and the Leeum Museum of Art are about a 10-minute drive away, and views of both Namsan and the Han River make this a good place to take in the scale and scenery of Seoul.

Good to know

If you choose the Hyatt as your base, we recommend exploring Namsan, just behind the hotel. A morning walk along the Namsan Dulle-gil trail lets you enjoy the city and nature together, and makes for an energizing start to the day. The trail does include steep sections, however, so it is better to think of it as light exercise rather than a casual stroll. Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are recommended.

Josun Palace Seoul

With more than a century of history behind it, Josun Palace offers a contemporary take on Seoul’s classic hotel culture. Its long-standing heritage is reinterpreted through modern spaces and service suited to present-day Gangnam.

Located on Teheran-ro, the hotel offers convenient access to both COEX and Cheongdam. From its upper floors, guests can take in sweeping views of Seoul at night. The combination of historic legacy and contemporary Seoul is part of what makes Josun Palace distinctive.

Good to know

Stop by 1914 Lounge & Bar on the 24th floor. Named in reference to the heritage of Josun Hotel dating back to 1914, it is a good place to end the day with a cocktail or whisky while taking in Seoul’s night views.
